UPDATED: Magic Mountain-Old Road intersection closed through Tuesday
Construction activities for The Old Road realignment and Magic Mountain Parkway widening at Interstate 5 will close the intersection for a week starting this morning, according to the latest update from the city of Santa Clarita, L.A. County, Newhall Land, Metro and Caltrans.

Sheriff's deputies broke up a street brawl in Canyon Country early Saturday and arrested three juveniles, including one armed with a rifle, officials reported.
Brush fire burns 5 acres off Bouquet
A brush fire broke out at 3:37 p.m. Saturday in Leona Valley off Bouquet Canyon Road. By 4:45 p.m., Angeles Forest and Los Angeles County firefighters had knocked the fire down after it blackened five acres.
