County air tower closures granted temporary reprieve

LOS ANGELES COUNTY – Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich released today the attached letter from the Federal Aviation Administration announcing that it will no longer close Los Angeles County's air traffic control towers. Congress passed the "Reducing Flight Delays Act of 2013" act which allows the FAA to transfer funding from other accounts to keep the nation's 149 contract towers open.
