Everybody agrees we need more hospital facilities in the Santa Clarita Valley but not everyone supports the present proposal.
I think it is about time that the Hart district governing board is finally planning on selecting a site for a Castaic high school.
In response to the article by Brian Charles "Prop. 8 debate fuels protests" (Oct. 28): I am toally disgusted by the apparent use of "yellow journalism" by The Signal.
In Tim Myers' commentary today, he refers to Laurie Ender running a "true grassroots campaign."
Dear ladies and gentlemen concerned over the imminent start-up of the Monticello Preparatory School in Hasley Canyon:
The implications from Barack Obama's condemnation of John McCain's not knowing how many houses he owns are quite disturbing.
Kudos to the City Council! I applaud you for appointing Matt Halliday to a seat on the Parks, Recreation & Community Services Commission.
California is in trouble. Our deficit is enormous. We need to solve the budget issue, and we need to do it now.
I recently spoke on the phone with the fraud section at Air Tran Airlines.
On Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m., at the Army recruiting station on Soledad Canyon Road, 11 (that's right - eleven) cars with U.S. government license plates were parked at the station.
Bush-bashing became major political convenience and the lazy man's pastime. Depending on which poll is cited, President Bush has an approval rating of 22 to 28 percent. Our Democrat-controlled Congress of nearly two years has an approval rating of 9 to 14 percent.
"I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree."
"New private school upsets neighbors," The Signal, August 22. Zoning laws dictate that multiple families cannot live in a single-family home, yet during the day neighbors in that Castaic neighborhood must endure 100 kids. Imagine what Back to School Night will look like.

Speeding, cellphone calling, texting, tail-gating arrogance, complete disregard for the other motorist and other numerous unsafe practices while driving that cause accidents - these have been my contention in many letters to the editor that I have submitted to The Signal.
The city of Santa Clarita's response to my letter (June 23, "When will the city water medians responsibly?") regarding watering, the saving of water and new landscaping was full of details.
