I e-mailed this letter to Senators Boxer and Feinstein. I also sent it to the Governor. The "political football" of drilling for oil wherever it is in the United States is a typical example of the cynicism of the left.
Don’t punish the children for Sacramento’s budget
I am writing in response to The Signal's July 11 story "County Frets Over Foster Freeze." California's foster children did not create our state's budget crisis and should not carry the burden of the failings of their elders. Balancing the budget on the backs of abused and neglected children flies in the face of our commitment to provide quality care for our state's most vulnerable citizens.

What has happened to our government? If I remember correctly, we are supposed to be for and by the people, not for the person who can raise the most money and make empty promises.
