Students give back with Project Puppy Love

Hundreds of new and gently used blankets, towels, collars, toys and beds were collected by students at Saugus' Mountainview Elementary as part of "Project Puppy Love," benefitting AngelDogs Foundation, a mobile spay/neuter clinic and deaf-dog rescue network based in Newhall. Clubs reach out to patients

Students from Valencia High School's Fight for a Cure and Femina student clubs recently made valentines and wrote heartfelt notes for hospital patients. The clubs organized the outreach effort as part of Valentine's Day and with the goal to provide joy to people in need and to inspire others to help. Fight for a Cure hopes to raise awareness for rare diseases while Femina is the school's women's rights club.

Bowman students visit technical institute

A group of 39 Bowman High School students and four teachers recently took a field trip to Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga. High school clubs create mobile library

After a semester of hard work, the Human Rights Watch Student Task Force chapters from Academy of the Canyons, Canyon, Golden Valley, Hart and Valencia high schools have completed their first mobile library project. The project departed this past November for a refugee camp in Eastern Chad, Camp Djabal.
