China Exchange program to hold fundraiser

Saugus High School's China Exchange program will hold a fundraiser from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at BJ's restaurant, 24320 Town Center Drive. Anyone who eats at the restaurant during those times and presents a flier will be helping the program. A raffle drawing will be held following the fundraiser.

Hart district allows excused absences today

Hart show choir named grand champions

Rebekah Park is a senior at Hart High School and co-president of the Hart Show Choir. Valencia High School Dance Team National Championship

Valencia High School Dance Team won the national championship title for this performance of its large jazz dance "Proud Mary" during the finals of USA Nationals on the arena floor of the Anaheim Convention Center, March 8. This is the team's second back-to-back title for large jazz, a competition dance that included all 25 members of the team. This particular dance also won the California State championship title earlier in the season.

Canyon High presents 'Rapunzel'

(Samantha Lanthier is a senior at Canyon High School.) The excitement was palpable as the lights dimmed in the Q Theatre at Canyon High School. The elementary students stopped talking and waited patiently for the show to begin. They all listened, silent and still as the narrator, played by Shawnie Wise-Hawkins, introduced the tale of Rapunzel and the horrid curse set upon her life.

Hart Cheerleaders Take First

Noelle Chadbourne is a junior at Hart High School. She is a member of the varsity cheerleading squad and Hart's journalism staff. The Hart High School varsity competition cheerleading squad won first place at the California Cheerleading Championship held Feb. 23 at Six Flags Magic Mountain, competing against eight other teams in the large varsity division.

Deadline Nears For Hart District Panel
