Ronald McDonald pays a visit

Ronald McDonald stopped by Golden Oak Elementary School earlier this month to perform a new show called "Giving Back with Ronald McDonald" that focuses on helping kids learn how to share their time, talent and gifts with each other and their community. The show was sponsored by McDonald's at Golden Valley Ranch and was a treat for students attending the Canyon Country school who are wrapping up the school year.

200 kids get free pair of shoes

More than 200 Live Oak Elementary School students in Castaic received a free pair of Silly Feet shoes as part of a recent company giveaway. The students were rewarded after a local family contacted the company to share their joy over the kid-friendly shoes. In response, the New York-based company BH Brands organized the giveaway to benefit the Castaic family and the student's classmates.
