Saugus Crime Report: Deputies probe home burglaries
Crime in the Saugus area is down approximately 10 crimes this year, as compared to this time period last year. This week we had two reported residential burglaries. Former priest sentenced for groping girls
LONG BEACH - A 68-year-old former Long Beach priest was sentenced today to one year of sex offender counseling and ordered to register for life as a sex offender after he pleaded no contest to sexually molesting three teen girls, the District Attorney's Office announced.
Siblings escape torture in Palmdale home
On January 15, 2013, the victims (8-year old male and 7-year old female) were reported to be missing persons by their adoptive mother, Ingrid Brewer, the suspect in this case. Palmdale Station Deputies began an exhaustive search for the victims and eventually located both of them lying near a parked vehicle on a street near their residence. Both victims were hiding under a blanket. Neither child had any type of winter clothing on, despite temperatures in the mid 20's.

Saugus crime report: $1,000 steel cage stolen
This week we only had four reported Part-1 crimes in the Saugus area. There was an assault on a Peace Officer on Saturday, 03/23/13. The suspect attacked deputies while she was being detained for a petty theft. Deputies were able to take the suspect into custody.
