Castaic/Val Verde Zone 2: burglaries reported

There were five Part 1 Crimes in Zone 2 this past week. Two residential burglaries were reported in Val Verde. Both victims said their front doors were kicked in and jewelry was stolen. Detectives from Santa Clarita station have a male adult in custody for one of the crimes and are investigating the second.

Valencia Zone 5 alert: assault reported

Zone 5-Valencia had fifteen Part-1 Crimes reported during the past week. The criminal incidents included an assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft, and numerous shoplifting from various businesses.

Community: Valencia Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information

An assault with a deadly weapon occurred between Bouquet Canyon Road and Valencia Boulevard on 5:00 pm. The suspect, a male transient, was seen swinging a metal club at an electrical box then began swinging the club at bunch of cyclists. The suspect was arrested shortly after and transported to the Santa Clarita Station for booking. No one was hurt during this incident.
