Local team brings home the gold

The Hart 14U softball team took third place in the ASA Western District Tournament in Moorpark this past weekend qualifiying for State in San Diego. The team will represent Southern California for softball and participate in the Junior Olympic ceremonies at Qualcomm Stadium with 30,000 athletes.

PYFL passing tourney begins

The Pacific Coast Football League, PYFL, hosted its second annual passing tournament on Saturday at Valencia High School. Thirty-nine teams in four ages weight divisions participated in pool play competition. The divisions, bantam, midget, junior and senior compete in 7-on-7 high school style passing games. Swimmers break world records at SCAC long meet

On May 18, world records were broken when the Santa Clarita Masters Club and the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center hosted a Long Course Meet. The meet consists of competitors swimming 50-meter lengths versus the usual configuration of 25-yards.

College of the Canyons gears up for summer with five youth camps

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - As the temperature rises and the days get longer, it is inevitable that summer vacation is right around the corner for the children of the Santa Clarita and its surrounding communities.
