In 2007, three points was all it took for the College of the Canyons to miss out on a chance to play for the Southern California championship. COC lost to Bakersfield College in overtime 48-45, ending its postseason aspirations and the chance to compete for another state title.

Mustangs dominate Eagles
The Master's College women's soccer team went on the road to take its Golden State Athletic Conference opener on Saturday, winning 3-0 over Biola University in La Mirada. Midfielder Andie Reyes, forward Katie McMannis and Emily Bruton each scored one goal for the Mustangs (1-0 in GSAC, 6-2 overall).
