Cougars rough up Raiders

It's difficult to say which was more dominant -- the offense or the defense -- as the unbeaten College of the Canyons football team thoroughly manhandled Moorpark College in a National Division, Northern Conference laugher. COC, its engine kick-started by Hayo Carpenter's game-opening, 95-yard kickoff return, used the momentum of Fred Winborn's three first-quarter touchdowns and a smothering defensive effort to blow past the Raiders 48-3 Saturday night at Cougar Stadium.

Trojans hang a doughnut on ASU

At the beginning of the season, many people would have marked the Oct. 11 matchup between the University of Southern California and Arizona State University as a can't-miss game between two teams slated to make runs at the Pac-10 championship. Protect his neck

Flat on his back. Three times in a row.
