Six seconds were all it took for the College of the Canyons men's basketball team to break its five-game losing streak. The Cougars defeated El Camino College 72-70 at home on Tuesday night.

Mustangs dominate Eagles
The Master's College women's soccer team went on the road to take its Golden State Athletic Conference opener on Saturday, winning 3-0 over Biola University in La Mirada. Midfielder Andie Reyes, forward Katie McMannis and Emily Bruton each scored one goal for the Mustangs (1-0 in GSAC, 6-2 overall).

A goal scored by Fabio Joaquim in the 79th minute prevented a loss by The Master's College men's soccer team on Saturday, in a 1-1 tie in double-overtime at Biola University in La Mirada.
