In 2007, three points was all it took for the College of the Canyons to miss out on a chance to play for the Southern California championship. COC lost to Bakersfield College in overtime 48-45, ending its postseason aspirations and the chance to compete for another state title.

The Master's College women's soccer team went on the road to take its Golden State Athletic Conference opener on Saturday, winning 3-0 over Biola University in La Mirada. Cougars battle through Warriors

It was community college football's version of an all-out war as College of the Canyons and El Camino College squared off in the Southern California Playoff Semifinals. As College of the Canyons head football coach Garett Tujague argued for some of his players to make the All-Western State Conference teams at the post-regular season conference meeting, two players were notably up for discussion. Men's College Basketball Oxnard 75, COC 71 (OT) Brannon Bradley's double-double was not enough Saturday as Oxnard College edged out the Cougars in overtime. Bradley scored 19 points with 10 rebounds. Day 1 TMC's day at NAIA nationals highlighted by 10K

In his first crack at a national championship this spring, The Master's College senior John Gilbertson came up a few seconds short. Gilbertson took third place in the 10,000-meter final on the opening day of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday in Marion, Ind.
