Cardinals unleash first-half fury

Santa Clarita Christian football kept the scorekeeper busy on Saturday.

He had to constantly get up, stand on a table and then reach up to hang points on the visitors' side, as the Cardinals routed Los Angeles Lutheran 54-6 at First Lutheran High School.

Saugus holds off Grizzlies’ push

Saugus beat Golden Valley 42-26 at Canyon High School on Friday night, but the 26 points scored by the Grizzlies were more than they have scored the entire season.

"This is big for our program," said Golden Valley head coach Andy Campbell. "We know we can compete. The kids are starting to figure it out."
