Saugus has seen a lot of athletic success recently, and lacrosse is starting to catch on - not only at the school, but across the Santa Clarita Valley.

The Centurions went 10-3 last spring and won the Pacific League, and the foundation was laid by Steve Tyson, who has been a huge force behind bringing the sport to not only the Santa Clarita Valley, but the greater Los Angeles area as well.

Vikings fly by Eagles

After winning four games by an average of 18 points, Valencia left no doubt it deserved the Canyon Classic championship.

The Vikings and got 27 points from tournament MVP, sophomore Lonnie Jackson and put together a complete effort in a 68-54 rout of Lancaster Saturday evening.

Cardinals take fifth in a row

Santa Clarita Christian stayed undefeated on the season but it wasn't easy Saturday, in a 33-20 win over Rolling Hills Prep in San Pedro.

The Cardinals led by as close a score as 27-20, after Rolling Hills scored on an option play after a long pass.
