Saugus at Valencia: This could be the clincher

Just when things were starting to turn around for Saugus football, they go back the other way.

Not only are the Centurions, who have won two straight games after losing five in a row, playing highly touted Valencia tonight at 7:30 at College of the Canyons, but they have also lost their starting quarterback for the season.

Valencia volleyball won’t have any sharing, wins league title

Valencia girls volleyball finished off an eighth straight Foothill League championship season with a three-set win over Golden Valley on Thursday at home, 25-10, 25-16, 25-12.

The victory clinched an outright league crown for the Vikings (15-9, 9-1).

’Cats claw back against Indians

It's possible the turning point of West Ranch girls volleyball's season came in its regular-season finale.

After dropping the match's first two games, the Wildcats battled back to take a 3-2 nailbiter over Hart on Thursday at West Ranch High School, and in the process, claimed a share of second place and the No. 2 seed for the CIF-Southern Section playoffs coming out of the Foothill League.
