Santa Clarita Christian beats big opponent

Santa Clarita Christian School took down the defending CIF-SS champions in eight-man football on Saturday, downing Joshua Springs, 54-32. The Cardinals led the entire game from the time Colin Mayhugh returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to the final whistle.

New rule on the books

The Foothill League has implemented a new policy and will limit the amount of contact a coach can have with his or her athletes to 10 hours per week Monday through Saturday. The policy is a response to the elimination on July 1 of CIF-Southern Section By-Law 313 - the Athletic Association Rule.
