Cardinals on the rebound

Offense was certainly not in short supply at Canyon High School on Saturday night as the Santa Clarita rode a 48-6 halftime lead to an easy 54-6 victory over the visiting Lions of L.A. Lutheran. The contest was so lopsided that officials decided to call the game early in the third quarter.

Valencia swarmed Golden Valley from the opening whistle and blanked the Grizzlies 7-0 to cap a strong performance on the opening day of the Hart Showcase Tournament.
