Saugus sets pace out East

It appears that the boundaries of Saugus cross country's dominance are expanding.

The Centurions won the girls 3-mile varsity AAA race, led by junior Kaylin Mahoney's individual victory, while the boys team placed third in its respective 3-mile varsity AAA race on Saturday at the 45th McQuaid Jesuit Cross Country Invitational in Genesee Valley Park, Rochester, N.Y.

Grizzlies shut out by Diamondbacks

Golden Valley continued to struggle on offense thanks to Serrano's strong defensive effort in a 24-0 loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday at Canyon High.

The Diamondbacks (3-2) entered the game giving up only seven points per contest and controlled the line of scrimmage all night, limiting Golden Valley (0-4) to less that 100 yards of total offense.

Indians shore up 'D' against Spirits

PALMDALE - With a bye next week, Hart can now add momentum to its repertoire heading into Foothill League play.

Indians quarterback C.J. Reyes threw three touchdowns, two to wide receiver Ty MacArthur, and Hart's defense forced five turnovers as the Indians beat Paraclete 28-7 in their pre-league finale on Friday at Knight High School in Palmdale.
