The Valencia boys varsity tennis team defeated Hart 16-2 on Tuesday on the Indians home court. The Vikings remain the preeminent force in the Foothill League, still undefeated at 7-0. Once again Valencia came oh so close to winning its first Foothill League boys golf match of the season, but just as the three previous League matches, West Ranch carded a lower score to win its fourth straight Foothill League match with a score of 390 at Valencia Country Club Monday afternoon.

A volleyball legacy

Caio Schmitd's first memories of volleyball began when he was a young boy cheering his father on at matches in Brazil. "I would sit on the bench and during every water break my dad and I would go on the court and pass balls back and forth," says Schmitd, an outside hitter for West Ranch .
