City saves taxpayer money via comparative shopping

The City of Santa Clarita saved nearly $200,000 in the last fiscal quarter through the use of the competitive process in purchasing. By shopping around for the best price for projects and procurements, the City proactively ensures that public funds are spent in the most responsible manner.

Supe presses for county healthcare worker background checks

Antonovich will introduce a motion at today's Board meeting directing the Chief Executive Officer to establish a standard protocol for the performance of criminal background checks to be followed by all registry and temporary staffing agency contractors to ensure they comply with their contractual responsibilities prior to dispatching staff to County facilities.
