Pointing lasers at sheriff's aircraft results in arrests
Another person who pointed a laser at a sheriff's helicopter was arrested last week. In the past seven months, helicopter pilots and Aero Bureau aircraft from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department had lasers pointed at them six times while in flight. Four suspects have been arrested.
Canyon Dance Team wins 2 national titles
For the second time in school history, the Canyon High School Dance Team has brought home a National Open title and this time it was two in one year. Canyon won two National Open dance titles at the recent United Spirit Association National Competition, held at the Anaheim Convention Center.

A group of Santa Clarita community leaders working in conjunction with City of Santa Clarita officials has organized a celebration: Taste of Cinco de Mayo. The celebration will consist of an afternoon and evening of festivities to recognize a growing segment of our population, Americans of Mexican descent. Raid on probationers nets guns, rifles, $525K in cash
LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- During the month of March, D.I.S.A.R.M. officers confiscated 27 guns and six rifles, more than $525,000 in illegal drugs and drug money, and arrested 166 probationers during 1259 unannounced searches of residences, persons, vehicles, and businesses, according to Los Angeles County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich.
