SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The California Supreme Court says a death row inmate sentenced to die for a Bakersfield killing should get a competency evaluation or a new trial. Monday's ruling came in an appeal of the 1995 conviction of Christopher Charles Lightsey, who was sentenced to death murdering 76-year-old William Compton. Mitt Romney has won the California Republican presidential primary, completing a sweep of contests in five states. Romney also won presidential primaries Tuesday in New Jersey, South Dakota, New Mexico and Montana. The victories add to a delegate total that already exceeds the number needed to win the nomination. About 40 Pinecrest School Valencia students took part in the school's annual science fair on March 23. A total of 41 students in grades 3, 4 and 5 participated in the fair and about a dozen students took home medals.
