Solo vehicle crash in Valencia

Firefighters, sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol officers responded to a solo vehicle that crashed into a flower bed at the northeast corner of McBean and Magic Mountain parkways in Valencia at about 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday. The two elderly occupants of the Cadillac were "shaken" but uninjured, said Los Angeles County Fire Capt. Tony Clift. The cause was being investigated by authorities on the scene.

Mars rover piques preschoolers' curiosity

Dennis Young, of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, brought a minature rover as part of JPL's education and public outreach program to Christ Lutheran Preschool in Valencia on Tuesday.
