Library hosts "Stuffed Animal Sleep-Over"

As part of the Santa Clarita Public Library's summer reading program, children were invited Friday to bring their stuffed animals to the Valencia and Canyon Country branches for a "Stuffed Animal Sleep-Over." Volunteers staged and photographed various scenarios for the stuffed animals after the branches closed on Friday evening. The animals will be returned to their owners Saturday with a free photo from the party.

Mars rover piques preschoolers' curiosity

Dennis Young, of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, brought a minature rover as part of JPL's education and public outreach program to Christ Lutheran Preschool in Valencia on Tuesday.
