Crash victim airlifted to hospital

The driver of a Ford Mustang was transported by helicopter to a hospital with unknown injuries after the vehicle overturned on Vasquez Canyon Road approximately one mile east of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus on Monday evening.

School event reaches a crescendo

Amy Knoles demonstrates electronic music produced with a percussion controller for students at Arroyo Seco Junior High School in Saugus on Monday. Knoles, an instructor at the California Institute of the Arts, brought her presentation of electronic percussion music, "Music from Almost Tomorrow," to students, sampling sounds ranging from nature and voices to create unique-sounding tunes. The assembly was part of a day of enrichment for Arroyo Seco students.

Mars rover piques preschoolers' curiosity

Dennis Young, of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, brought a minature rover as part of JPL's education and public outreach program to Christ Lutheran Preschool in Valencia on Tuesday.
