Four burglary suspects busted

Four suspected burglars are behind bars today after Deputies Vaziri and Marino, assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station / City of Santa Clarita's Community Interaction Team (CIT), spotted a vehicle matching the description given in a residential burglary yesterday.

The same vehicle, a black Mercedes Sport Utility Vehicle, had been spotted by neighbors at the scene of other residential burglaries in the Santa Clarita Valley over the past several weeks and deputies have been searching for it.

'Pool School' immerses homeowners in pool safety, maintenance

The city will host a Pool School for Homeowners class on Thursday, April 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center. Certified pool technicians will host the class, designed to help homeowners cut costs by maintaining their back yard pools without hired assistance and understanding energy efficient maintenance techniques.
