Advisory vote for Westside residents OK'd for November ballot

LOS ANGELES COUNTY - To provide the residents of Sunset Pointe, Southern Oaks, Stevenson Ranch, Westridge, Tesoro, Castaic and Val Verde a voice in the future of their communities, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion by Supervisor Antonovich to place an advisory vote on the governance structure of the unincorporated areas of Santa Clarita Valley on the Nov. 3 ballot.

"With the vital information necessary to make informed choices with regard to the future of their communities, this advisory vote will give our residents in unincorporated communities an opportunity to be heard," Antonovich said.
