COC's Canyon Call to be greatly missed

Mass. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy dies at 77

HYANNIS PORT, Mass. (AP) -- Massachusetts Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate, has died after battling a brain tumor. He was 77.

Kennedy's family announced his death in a brief statement released early Wednesday.

Newhall Community Center soccer team rises to semi-finals

The city of Santa Clarita's Newhall Community Center 'Under-17' soccer team competed in the semi-finals of the 2009 FC Irvine Showcase Soccer Tournament. The team battled its way through the tournament, competing against 200 premiere teams from California, Canada and Spain.
