Open letter to Smyth

Many years ago, I remember holding a "Smyth" sign with my mother on the corner of Valencia Boulevard and San Fernando Road in support of your campaign. While I was still in my youth and not nearly as politically aware as I am now, I am beginning to feel embarrassed by my apparent mistake.
