Blue Shield to covers H1N1 flu vaccine for all members

SAN FRANCISCO -- Blue Shield of California announced today that it will cover the administrative costs of the H1N1 virus (swine flu) vaccine for all its members, regardless of which plan they have. Blue Shield will be waiving prior authorizations, copays and deductibles for office visits when members go to an in-network doctor to get H1N1 vaccinations.

CHP crackdown saves lives on Labor Day weekend

SACRAMENTO - Traffic fatalities within the jurisdiction of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) declined sharply during the most recent holiday weekend. The extended holiday weekend was a Maximum Enforcement Period, which meant every available CHP officer was out patrolling California' s roadways.

Interscholastic Equestrian League now open for membership

The Interscholastic Equestrian League allows junior high and high school equestrians to represent their schools in four competitions during the school year. The students compete in hunters, equitation, jumpers and dressage.
