The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich for an investigation to determine whether, by accepting funding from the Federal Economic Stimulus Package, the County will be committed to assume the costs for required programs and services after stimulus dollars have been depleted.
"We want to ensure that accepting these dollars will not lock in County taxpayers for additional spending after the stimulus money is gone," Antonovich said. "We need a thorough analysis of the long-term impact these programs will have on the County budget."
