I use a catalog to buy some clothes because they do have bargains. The problem is that the shipping and handling fees have gone sky high. They are called bargains, but with the cost of handling and shipping gone up, it is no bargain.

Sierra Vista teacher honored for P.E. program

George Velarde, head of the Physical Education department at Sierra Vista Junior High School, has been awarded a Gold Medal by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness in a Sports Spotlight Award ceremony in Sacramento this week. Thinking History: Ruiz Cemetery tells tragic story of dam disaster

I downloaded the directions and climbed in the car. Soon, I found myself 2.1 miles north of the intersection of Copper Hill and San Francisquito Canyon in Saugus. I had a picture of the site and it matched what I was seeing. Towards the west in the distance was the clump of trees I was aiming for, and if I squinted just right I could make out a white marker underneath. This was the place.
