The Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services Agency is participating in the 15th annual Kids Cooking Campaign, scheduled for February and March at the agency's Central Kitchen, 25210 Anza Drive. Rio Vista Elementary is scheduled for Feb. 19; Mint Canyon Elementary on March 3; Newhall Elementary on March 4; Northlake Hills Elementary on March 30 and Emblem Elementary on March 31.

Democratic Alliance for Action meeting set for Jan. 28

Santa Clarita's Democratic Alliance for Action (DAA) will host a meeting at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28 at Vincenzo's Pizza, 24504 ½ Lyons Ave. in Newhall. The meeting will feature a presentation from Harrison Katz, who is running for the Santa Clarita City Council.
