Easter brunch for the bunch

Whether you get to sleep in on Easter Sunday or finish up at church with a growling stomach, going out for brunch on the day is a tradition that most of us happily follow. Around town several restaurants are offering special menus and activities during the brunch hours this Sunday. The "Easter" brunches at other restaurants actually happen every Sunday, but who cares? It only means you'll be spilling your usual maple syrup on your Easter slacks.

Postal Service to unveil new stamp at Cowboy Festival

On Saturday, April 24, at the Melody Ranch Stage, the Postal Service will unveil the new 44-cent, Cowboys of the Silver Screen commemorative stamp in four designs in a pane of 20 stamps and a booklet of 20 stamped postal cards. They have also created a special Cowboy Festival postmark.

New postage stamps celebrate western screen legends

On Saturday, April 17, the United States Postal Service will release a series of four stamps titled Cowboys of the Silver Screen. The four honorees, all inductees into the Walk of Western Stars in Old Town Newhall, include: William S. Hart, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Tom Mix.
