Foothill baseball: Cents stay hot on hill

After getting solid starting pitching on Wednesday against Canyon, it appeared as if Saugus would be hard pressed to repeat the performance.

However Centurion starting pitcher Cameron Castillo went out and delivered six innings of one-hit, shutout baseball on Friday to lead Saugus to its second straight shutout win over Canyon 6-0 at Saugus High School.

Deaths from traffic collisions in California on track to all-time low

Drug abuse seminar set for May 4

Abuse of over-the-counter drugs and marijuana are among the topics to be covered when the Wm. S. Hart High School District hosts a district-wide drug awareness seminar for parents and students from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. May 4 in the West Ranch High School theater. The seminar is part of a series of drug information seminars offered by the Hart District's Comprehensive Alcohol and Drug Reduction Education (CADRE) program and is open to the local community.
