City invites community on excursion to murder mystery show

The city of Santa Clarita invites community members to sign up to participate in a night of murder, mayhem and fun with an excursion to a Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Show. Attendees will arrive at the city's Sports Complex Activities Center by 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 to be whisked away to Los Angeles for a night of superb food, spooky mystery and great fun.

COC hosts 7th annual children’s Play Day

In honor of the Week of the Young Child, College of the Canyons and the Southern California Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (SCVAEYC) will host the seventh annual "Play Day" on Saturday, April 17, offering free, developmentally appropriate activities for children in the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.

Annual All School Dance set for Friday

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station will host the 26th Annual All School Dance from 7-11 p.m. on Friday at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The event is open to local students in grades eight through 12. The evening will include food, music and raffle prizes. "Batman: The Ride" will be open for unlimited rides. City wants videos asking for higher-speed service

To try and bring high-speed Google internet to Santa Clarita, officials are asking residents to upload videos to the city's Web site explaining how they would use faster Internet speeds. Google is conducting a nationwide search for test cities that could use the faster Internet service.
