Amnesty International reports maternal mortalities

NEW YORK, March 12 -- In releasing a new report on maternal health nationwide, Amnesty International today revealed that flaws and shocking disparities in maternal health care that the government is ignoring lead to two to three women dying daily in the United States from pregnancy-related complications, with half of these deaths believed preventable, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Antonovich secures grant for express bus to Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES COUNTY - Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, member of the Governing Board of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), has secured a $300,000 grant from the Mobile Sources Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee to operate a no-cost Express Bus connecting Dodger Stadium to Union Station for the 2010 season.

AP sources: Woods likely to return at Masters

DORAL, Fla. (AP) - Tiger Woods intends to remain out of golf at least until the Masters, two people with knowledge of his plans told The Associated Press.

Woods has been practicing at Isleworth near his Orlando home the last two weeks, and swing coach Hank Haney flew there during the weekend to work with him. That led to speculation Thursday he was close to playing again.
