Letter: Removing God from pledge is un-American

Everything that's wrong with America was recently on display by NBC. The conscious omission, twice, of the phrase "under God," from the otherwise patriotic montage of events on the coverage of the U.S. Open last weekend was inexcusable, deliberate, sly and a backhand to the face of every American.

Chili’s raising funds for Domestic Violence Center

Chili's of Stevenson Ranch is donating 15 percent of all sales on Monday, June 27, to the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita. The proceeds include sales from dine-in, take out, catering and alcoholic beverages. The fundraiser runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
