Drew Weaver captures Toastmasters speech contests

Drew Weaver won Valencia Toastmasters Club #1670's annual speech contest on March 10, then went on to win the area contest held on March 13, as well as the division contest held April 10.

Beautification project OK'd for I-5/Hasley Canyon Road

Struggling Dodgers host Arizona in home opener

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Clayton Kershaw hopes the adrenaline and nerves that affected him in his first start of the season are gone when he heads to the mound in the Los Angeles Dodgers' home opener.

The 22-year-old left-hander starts Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who went 4-2 in a season-opening homestand.
