No stimulus money
Santa Clarita should not go after stimulus money. With all due respect to my friend Ken Pulskamp, I must forcefully disagree with the decision that the city has made to pursue money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Bush warning unheeded
In your Signal Daybreak column on Feb. 28, you mentioned the fact that apparently Bush said about a year ago that we were not "recession bound" and that Obama said we were "on the brink of a recession."

Adult stem-cell research
Embryonic stem-cell research has not cured anything and has no current human trials, simply because the method so far has only produced tumors in animals. Yet, President Barack Obama has, by executive order, fulfilled his campaign promise to lift the ban on federally funded embryonic stem-cell research.
