Most of my heroes are dead, including Dr. Jack Kevorkian, who passed away on June 3. It was on that date, 43 years ago, that my mother died, at age 59, of pancreatic cancer. It is in commemoration of the 10 months of agony that she endured and with profound admiration for the man who could have cut her suffering short, that I make public my last will and testament.
