Castaic Lake ramps up new boat launch
To improve accessibility and safety at Castaic Lake, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced that the Board of Supervisors approved a request for the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for a $100,000 grant for the installation of a 18'x95' boat launch and 30'x40' storage shed adjacent to the Boating Instruction Safety Center at Castaic Lake.

Actor Barry Cutler, dressed as the 16th President of the United States Abraham Lincoln, spoke to a group of students at La Mesa Junior High School Monday afternoon for the school's annual Abraham Lincoln assembly. Cutler spoke about the presidents' biography, and at the end opened it up for the kids to ask questions regarding the president.
