Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are investigating the death of a man who was found set ablaze early Saturday morning in the area of the Interstate-5 and Templin Highway near the Angeles National Forest.

Fair Oaks Ranch resident helps nab burglars

For the second time in four days, an alert resident in the Fair Oaks Ranch area has helped deputies nab burglars. The resident immediately called the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Friday morning after seeing a suspicious vehicle containing three occupants in the 17000 block of Wren Drive.

Justices to lunch in Beverly Hills

The Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA), in association with the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation and the Law Guild of Beverly Hills, will honor the justices of the California Supreme Court at lunch Tuesday at the Beverly Hills Hotel. All seven state Supreme Court justices are slated to attend. Tickets to the Beverly Hills Bar Association's 55th Annual Supreme Court Luncheon are $130 per person.

Man dies in motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist between the ages of 25 and 30 died Friday afternoon in crash on Sand Canyon Road near state Route 14, sheriff's deputies said. The man's motorcycle collided with a passenger car about 4:30 p.m., gravely injuring the motorcyclist.
