Fire insurance woes

One reason the Santa Clarita Valley is a fire zone is the dry and hot weather. There is development in the mountains and canyons. Excessive and dried vegetation adds fuel to the fire. Some insurance companies even refuse to offer fire insurance. For example, AAA does not offer fire insurance in Canyon Country because there is a limited number of fire stations. The 2009-10 Assistance League Board of Officers was installed June 2. The annual meeting and installation of new board members followed a festive dinner, catered by Mary Lynne Fry Caterer.
