Man arrested for alleged felony crimes against a child

Fancisco Ceron, 35, has been arrested and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has filed one felony count of lewd acts with a child and one felony count of false imprisonment against him, according to a news release from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Measure to end state raids makes November ballot

The California Secretary of State announced Wednesday that a measure to prevent Sacramento lawmakers from taking local government money made the Nov. 2 ballot. To fix its $19-billion budget shortfall, the state has been taking money from local governments, including the city of Santa Clarita.
