I-5 scheduled for overnight closures this week

Motorists are advised that beginning Tuesday March 2, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works will implement a series of freeway closures for the I-5 freeway both southbound and northbound near Hasley Canyon Road in the community of Castaic.

Animal shelter will hold adoption drive Sunday

The Castaic Animal Shelter will host an adoption event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday as a way to celebrate the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control's decision to extend shelter hours so that they are open seven days a week. The Found Animals Foundation will donate $10 towards every adoption.
