It should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed the undistinguished career of Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, that he is a member of a group of Republicans who call a "shakedown" the $20 billion escrow fund established at the urging of President Barack Obama by international petroleum giant BP to compensate Americans for the financial devastation they are experiencing as a result of BP's negligent operation of an oil drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
