Cub Scout meeting tonight

Cub Scout Pack 48 will host a recruitment meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Sulphur Springs Community School. The scouts will also assemble care packages to send to U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan. The school is located at 16628 Lost Canyon Road.

COC theater auditions Saturday

Special auditions for the lead roles of College of the Canyons' 2011 "Death of a Salesman" will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Valencia campus. All actors interested in auditioning for the roles of Willy Loman and Linda Loman are asked to meet in Pico Canyon Hall, Room 101 at noon to perform a prepared monologue or read from the play. Auditions for all other roles will take place Feb. 8 and 9, 2011.
